Area – Entireless 12” – Tesuji

Sub-label of Kimochi, Tesuji kicks off its first release with nine and a half minutes of the corrosively textured “Entireless”. Comfortable with this palette of sounds, Area uses these atmospheric textures and a beefy rolling beat to maintain a sense of anticipation throughout. Donato Dozzy’s remix makes the aforementioned textures more subtle, and appears to direct its attention on a mesmeric, resonant piece of percussion. Both versions are densely crafted in terms of sound, while seeming to ascribe to a minimal school of thought. The pair also carry quite a bit of subdued tension.

Chicago’s Lubin is lined up for the second Tesuji release.
