UK’s Greta Cottage Workshop project is a radio show and a record label, on both they turn out a moody, understated vibe that tends to wander in the forest somewhere between the land of the stoners and the lake of psychedelia. Mudkid returns with a fifth contribution to the imprint in as many years, this time an aquamarine 10″ that isn’t quite as submurged as it might first appear.

Turn Out is a subersively shuffled dub techno shuffle, simultaneously fast and slow, driving dry rhythm with wet ambience surrounding. Burning Bridges has a similar energy by different means – it’s swung without shuffling and has a Thomas Fehlmann-style melody an oddball nonchalance.
