Detroit’s Andrés churns out another summery release on his label La Vida. Those familiar with Andrés probably know to expect laid-back, stripped-down, house and hip-hop inspired grooves. The title track features samples of shimmering piano riffs and an EWF sample, while “Chevy Status” reveals what sounds like a sample of Karen Young’s “I’m Hot For You”. The final track on the EP gets my vote – it’s short, simple, and captures a sunny, pleasant perspective.

For those less familiar with Andrés’ material, in terms of vibe I think the EP could be compared to some of Glenn Underground or Braxton Holmes’ work. If you’re looking for mellow, mix-friendly, tunes for the summer this record might be up your alley.
